Ben's Crazy Class - We love these kiddos!!
Shaun walking in ready to sing his bumble bee song - guess who sang / screamed the loudest?
Ben and "my lovely teacher Ms Jessica" as he calls her!
Hello All
Last night was the end of the year ceremony and Graduation for Brighter Horizons. Man can those kids put on a show, watch out American Idol!! Needless to say Ms Melanie & Ms Jessica's classes were the BEST - my judgement could not possibly be clouded by the fact that those are the classes MY KIDS are in!!
All the classes did great, and the the yearbooks this year were great! For those of you who aren't privileged enough to have your kids go to BH, 1. I'm sorry for you and 2. you don't know about yearbooks. So here is a brief explanation! Each child gets a yearbook customised for them, pictures of them and there friends , special art projects and papers they have done through out the year - basically they do a scrapbook for each individual child, not mass produced for the school or even the class. Individualized for each child - the amount of time and energy that goes into this undertaking is incredible! So Ben and Shaun's were super cute again this year!
The other really fun thing they do at graduation is tell you fun facts they get from each graduate. They do a survey a few weeks before graduation and then announce all the answers the kids gave. The best are usually what they want to be when they grow up, and what there parents do for a living! Here are Ben's answers!
Ben lives in Louisiana, his favorite TV show is NCIS, his mom work at the zoo, his dad work at Renaissance Arts, he has a brother named Shaun who spends his day being crazy, his favorite person is Ms Jessica (big shock), his favorite football team is Alabama (another big shock), his favorite food is salami and string cheese, and he wants to be "a Navy" when he grows up!
So his answers were pretty right on, my favorites are the kids who's parents work "at their work" , the kids who make up having brothers and sisters, and the kids who want to be super heroes like Superman when they grow up!!
So all in all a really great night. We are sad Ben is moving on, but we will still get to harass all the BH teachers everyday when we go to drop off and pick up Shaun - who knows if Ben doesn't like St Andrew's we'll just put him back in Pre-K!
No clinic today or for the next two weeks!!!! So thats exciting, and summer camp starts next week, so Ben is SUPPER excited about riding the school bus with Mr Art everyday and swimming and skate country (roller skating just what a kid with bad balance should be excited about!!!!) and ALL the other super fun things that go along with BH summer camp!
Having fun as always!!

You guys did AWESOME last night. We are so proud of all of you. I love the yearbooks, too. There is a page in ours that is just "PATRICK & BEN" and we love it.
Can't wait for Summer camp.
Love ya,
Patrick's mom (Camille)
Ok so now i'm sitting here crying about my kids leaving me! I think they should just stay back one more year and I will teach them Kindergarten! Sound like a good idea? Tell my man I love him and I miss him and that he better not be giving all of my kisses to Grandma!
Congratulations Ben, NCIS is one of my favorite shows too! Wow a photo of an entire Pre K class and no one has their finger up their nose, no wonder you love BH so much Erin!
Love,
Ms. Amy
Ben,
You and Shaun did great last night! Everyone definitely heard Shaunie singing his bumblebee song. You were the cutest graduate when you came out dancing to your class song. You should stay at Brighter Horizons for kindergarten, too. We could make the attic a five-year old room!
Ahoy There Graduate,
Congratulations on your accomplishments! You looked absolutely dapper in your cap and gown! Your little brother waqs a darling bug. Was he a ladybug? (You know that runs in your family. So do killer bees!) Loved you new joke!
Speaking of jokes...
we'll send some later!
Love you!
Adios amigos!

Perhaps one day we will see Shaun on that new TV show "Glee Club". Who would have thought he was such a little performer. :)
Ben...was that a coincidence that your class' cap and gowns were pretty close to being "alabama red"? Or, did you and Ms. Jessica plan it that way? Either way...you looked mighty handsome and did a great job performing.
Have fun at summer camp and we'll see you at St. Andrew in the fall. We hope to catch another t-ball game too. Emma had a great time.
Our love and prayers,
Margaret, Rob, Emma & Noah Jaques
Hello there. What a great graduation!!!! Everyone did so well. Ms. Melanie and Ms. Jessica are the greatest!! Actually, I think we need to talk to Ms. Jessica about keeping you back with her. We have more books that we can read and I know I can trick you sooner or later!! I'm going to need some advice from you when Shaun comes up stairs!! I'm in Fla. right now, but I'll be back next week and I will be stopping by and checking in on all you guys. I'll also be seeing you on the field. Have fun!!
Much love and many prayers,
Mrs. Rita
Congratulations on graduation Ben! You're officially a big boy now! I hope you have a super fun summer and summer camp sounds awesome. Swimming is so much fun!! Don't forget your sunscreen! Love you, Aunt Robyn
What a bunch of red robed monkeys. And what a great bee Shaun makes. I only wish I could hear him---apparently it was a wonder I couldn't hear him all the way up here in Wisconsin. On to camp fun (the greatest fun I've ever had. And no clinics for two weeks! Great. Thinking of you all as always.

Hello all! I just found your page via the dipg online group. I'm so sorry to hear of his illness, but will add him to my growing list of children diagnosed with this horrible tumor. My daughter, Ravyn, also has it. Please know you are not alone and have lots of people praying for Ben's complete healing!
