Home !

We got home yesterday afternoon. Ben's doing good , just tired. Ben do another round of chemo two weeks from today. So far so good we are still planning on starting Kindergarten on Monday. The good thing about the chemo is it seems to have slowed down the feeding frenzy! They did increase his steroids to 3 times per day so not sure how long we can hold off the feeding frenzy!!!

Ben has been having a great time with Grandpa who is in town for the week and they are planning quite a day tomorrow. Mom is going to try and work a little for the next two days since he seems to be doing great and has his grandpa to hang out with.

We will keep you posted as to how Kindergarten goes!!!!

Hey Guys,

Glad to hear things are going well for Ben and that you are home. Have a great time with Grandpa! We can't wait to hear about school next week. We know Ben will be the smartest and bravest pirate in the class. Have fun!

Exactly what I was going to say. How many rounds will he have altogether? We'll be waiting for the first report on kindergarten. Where is St. Andrews anyhow?

Hey Ben -

I'm glad you're home and resting with your Grandpa! Make sure your uniform is all ready for school on Monday - I know it'll be a great day! Wish I were there to eat some nuggets and tots with you (with ketchup, of couse!). Miss you, Aunt Robyn

You guys are such an inspiration to me. We'd sure like to meet ya'll and the "Pirate" one day. My little girl, Madison, is also a patient of Dr. Velez. Looks like we just missed you. We got on 4 West on Wednesday. Maddie was DX with Osteosarcoma on March 13, 2009. 5 days after turning 5 yrs. old. Her twin brother got to start Kindergarten, but Maddie didn't get to. Hopefully she'll be able to start in November. Good Luck with the new treatment plan. You guys are in our prayers. God bless,
