Another Fun Audubon Field Trip

What a Wednesday!!
Well Ben and his class had another fun field trip this week. They got to see the Bugs movie at IMAX. They loved the school bus ride, as always. And the movie was fun - kind of gross with all those bug eating bug close-ups!!! And then Ms Jessica took them all to Wendy's for lunch. Ben went to clinic instead of back to school, and his blood counts were great, they were actually amazing considering he just finished another round of chemo!

After Filed Trip and clinic we went home for a short rest - okay Ben played and Mommy napped! And then Ben had friends over for Game Night! Not your tipical playdate with other little kids. Ben decided to call mommy (and his) friend Kelly the other day to see if she wanted to come play shoots and ladders ---well one thing leads to another and Lil'Ben and Kelly had planned quite a game night. Six adults and Lil'Ben had a game marathon of chutes and ladders, candyland, baseball and field hockey! I took Shaun (the game destroyer) to pick up Aunt Mego at the Airport so Ben could have his little party undisturbed for awhile. The boys had a great time and were very excited to see Aunt Mego! My / their friends are very special people - I'm not sure who had more fun the kids or the adults!

They stayed home from school today to hang out with her, and Ben has a soccer game tonight at 6:15 so he is supper excited to show Aunt Mego his supper soccer moves!

More pictures and fun planned for this weekend.

Just keeping up with the crazy kids!
Erin

Ahoy Ben, Glad you didn't get grossed out at the Bugs movie. Some people consider bugs a delicacy...We're not sure who as it’s not anyone we know!!!

Give your Aunt Mego a super big hug from us!!! We'll bet it will be hard to for her to stand on the sidelines and not run in and play on your team.

Love you jokes. Maybe that team spirit will help you with your soccer game tonight!

Since your focus of study seems to be bugs at this time, how about some more bug jokes?

What kind of critters do secret agents like?
Spy-ders!

What did the husband bee say to the wife when he got back?
Honey, I'm home!

What did the bee say when he went into the hive?
Gee, it's swarm in here!

With that, it's time to say, "Adios amigos!"

Love ya!

Hey Ben,

I am glad that you guys had fun on Wednesday. I know that I had fun at your soccer game. I LOVE your new headband. You are such a good soccer player, mostly because you don't wrestle during the game like the other kids. But my favorite part was when Shaunee tried to get into the garbage can! See you at school next week, little man. I love you.

P.S. Since your soccer team is doing so well, we should name your T-ball team the Tigers, too!

You sound like a busy little bee, Ben! Candyland is my favorite and I am happy you had such a fun game night with all of your friends. Have sooooo much fun with your wonderful Aunt MegO. She has been so excited to see you and all of your hot rod soccer moves! Have a blast!

Love, Jill

Ben,
Emma had a great time at your soccer game. She said she played soccer with Shaun and had lots of fun watching you play.

Maybe next time we can all make the game. I was out of town for this one.

We are looking forward to going to the zoo. Emma loves the monkeys.

Take care,
Ms. Margaret (Emma's mommy)

Ahoy Mate,

We wanted to get these jokes out to you yesterday but were too busy celebrating...OK, that's not exactly true, but we hope you enjoy them with your Irish heritage.

What is out on the lawn all summer and is Irish?
Paddy O'Furniture!

When is an Irish potato not an Irish Potato?
When it is French fried!

What happens when a leprechaun falls into a river?
He gets wet!

Knock Knock
Who's there?
Irish!
Irish who?
I wish you a happy St. Patrick's Day!

Adios amigos!
