Hello All

It was kind of a rough night. Ben spiked a fever in the middle of his second transfusion, so we had to stop it, he can't swallow anymore so he can't take Tylenol, so the only way to bring his fever down was cold compresses. But after the blood was tested and they checked his blood again we were able to start the transfusion again with a fresh bag, so he has gotten two and a half transfusions so far. They are going to do another transfusion here shortly. He is on morphine for pain and he is unresponsive. Every once in a while he will open his eyes and look around and sometimes answer a question with his eyes or a slight nod. But he appears to be resting comfortably.

Thank you for all the sweet messages, and support, we really appreciate it.

Erin

Lord, I pray for Ben, your Word says I should pray for his healing. I believe you hear this earnest prayer from my heart and that it is powerful because of your promise. I have faith in you to heal Ben, but I also trust in the plan you have for his life. Lord, I don't always understand your ways, and why Ben has to suffer, but I trust you. I ask that you look with mercy and grace toward Ben and his family. Nourish their spirit and soul in this time of suffering and comfort them with your presence. Let my Pirate Ben know you are there with him through this difficulty.

In times like these, we yearn for answers that seem to never come. The answers we do receive never come close to mending our hearts. Truth is, mere words we use here on earth cannot convey any answers to these questions. There are no earthly words to communicate how his plan will unfold for us; but indeed, there is a plan…for each and every one of us. The light in this darkness is the one and only answer he has given us…Faith. With the unconditional love and support of family, friends and loved ones, we find our strength and are reminded of our need to have faith in Him no matter how incomprehensible it seems here on earth.

Ben’s journey is not in vain as well as so many other children like Ben who have taken this path we cannot explain. Our souls are lifted by Ben’s strength and will to fight. An honorable fight he has so gloriously faced with the innocent spirit of a child we have all come to love, adore, admire and root for.

We pray for your little Ben.
We pray for Ben, Erin and Shaun. We pray for your families and friends to help you through this incredible time of need.

Ben is part of our hearts. Thank you for sharing his and your journey with all of us as we come together and continue to ask God to grace your precious Ben with His comfort and peace.

Ben is a amazing kid. He's my new inspiration. I think of him everyday. When I saw him at school he made me happy to continue the day, even though I wasn't feeling to well. When I saw him walk to the morning announcements before the Thanksgiving break, saying his tumor has shrunk. I was so happy to see a wonderful kid like him getting better. Then when I heard the all the less fortune it news I would feel soo bad for him. All i knew is that he was smiling being happy as can be. Ben is a new kid in heaven with God, right in the front row of the school in heaven.
