A little more comfortable

Ben is feeling a little more comfortable. They started him on morphine to relieve some of the pain and now they have started him on blood and platelet transfusions. His counts are extremely low so it will be a slow process with multiple transfusions of both. This will hopefully help his body carry the oxygen that he is getting.

A mass was offered for Ben today at St. Joseph Church on Tulane Ave at 12:15. Intentions were offered for him and his family. May those who know and love him know God's Peace and Perfect Will.

Hang in there Ben. It sounds like you'll be feeling a bit better soon.

Hang in there Erin & Big Ben. Jay has made his famous firefighter red beans for you and ALL the family for tonight. The children are making a special desert too. We'll drop them by the house at 6:00 and maybe someone can bring you a plate when they come to the hospital.

We'd love to visit, but it sounds like your pretty busy. Please know you are in our hearts every moment.

Love, Janel and Jay
