Another good clinic day

We had another great day at clinic today. Blood values were great and Dr Velez says he looks great too! Next week we just have to go in for an antibiotic inhalation treatment, no blood and no doctor, so it should go quick. Then we don't have anything till Feb 18th. Thats MRI day so keep your fingers crossed. I think 18 is my new lucky number!

So I have to tell you a funny story. At clinic today we had a new med student getting his feet wet. Yes, Ben can apparently smell fear and the torture began. Maybe it was because he was an LSU student. Ben kept purposefully messing up the assessment tests and giggling the hole time. Finally the student doc asks Ben if he thought he could trick him, Ben says "Yes, I can trick you, yesterday I almost tricked my reading teacher Ms Rita and she's way smarter than you so of course I can trick you!" Direct quote! The doctor didn't think it was quite as funny as I did! Needless to say Ben is fine, no weakness he cooperated with Dr Velez no problem. I guess he was just having a little fun !

Hope you got a good laugh - I did.

Love ya
Erin

Ahoy Ben AKA the Most Astute Observer of Doctors and Teachers,

Great news on your clinic results! You definitely put a smile on our faces as we read about you being able to trick your doctor!

I guess this calls for some doctor jokes...

Doctor, Doctor, How do I stop my nose from running?
Stick your foot out and trip it up!

Bob to X-ray technician after swallowing some money:
"Do you see any change in me?"

What do you call two medicine men?
A Pair-a-medics!

Keep up the good work there Ben!

Adios amigos!

HI Ben,
Sounds like you had some fun with the Doctor. You're right Ms Rita is way smarter. She didn't let you trick her. Grandpa and I both laughed till our sides hurt. Have a good night and we love you.

Hey Ben!!

How many days do you think Patrick can keep that Alabama sticker on his cheek? Maybe we should start making bets. I promise he is getting washed, just very gently around Al the elephant.

Great job tricking the doctor. After all the poking they do, sometimes they deserve a little fooling.

Love ya,
Patrick's mom (Camille)

Glad to hear all went well at clinic and that Ben gave the doctor a run for his money. Ms. Rita must be busting her buttons! I'm sure she deserves Ben's accolade, however.

Here's a another birdie joke (a left over from Thanksgiving and Xmas, obviously:

Why is a sofa like a roast turkey?

They're both full of stuffing.

HaHa! That's a good one. My favorite from the day though is when Ben looked at me very seriously and said, "Ms. Jessica, I lost a couple of weights." Apparently, that kid was on the roll today! Feburary 18th definitely sounds like a lucky day to me, too.

And, yes Ben, I agree Ms. Rita is way smarter than that student doctor.

Way to go, Ben! Show em how spunky you are!

Obviously, the new med student did not have a sense of humor.

Always in our prayers!

Hiya, Ben,

A beautiful day today. Hope you enjoyed school and playing outside. I've been fixing pockets for Kyle's new pajamas that he can keep his insulin pump in at night and I put one pocket in entirely wrong. So I'll fix that tonight. Got another bird joke for you:

What's got six legs and can fly long distance?

6 crows!
