Ben had another great weekend. He had a fabulous slumber party Friday night with Ms Jessica and a bunch of buddies from school. And then she took them all to Emily's Birthday Party Saturday morning. After the birthday party we went Ben & Shaun's Aunt Julie and Uncle Howard's house to play and have dinner. I must say my 5 nieces run a fabulous beauty parlor if you are in need of a new hairdo! Even Uncle Ben got his hair done, 3 pony tails and several barrettes later he was just as handsome as he can be! Sunday afternoon all the cousins and aunt and uncles came to our house for more playing and of course more food!
Grandma flew in from Phoenix last night, so the boys are very excited about being spoiled. I know Ben has already put in the request to go shopping at his favorite place, The Dollar Store!
We heard from the make a wish people and it sounds like Ben's wish has been granted for a Disney Cruise. He is very excited and we will probably be going in March.
Please keep a couple of our very dear cancer friends in your prayers, Kale and Timmy are both in the hospital. Timmy is trying to get his immune system back up so he can get out of the hospital for his birthday! So extra prayers for Timmy and Kale right now!
Please keep Ben in your prayers, I know from his posts its hard to believe he is "sick". The further away from radiation we get the more and more nervous I get that the tumor will start to regrow. The waiting is impossible! So extra prayers that the tumor forgets how to grow (or falls out completely!) and extra prayers that I have patients for this impossible waiting game.

A Disney Cruise! Wow Ben, that sounds awesome! I have a feeling that a Disney cruise will be just like a pirate cruise, but with yummier food and more fun things for a 5 year old and his family to do. I'm really excited that you go to make a wish.
I hope you have so much fun with your grandma and tell her that her friend Jill says "Yo Mrs. O!" Be sure to remind your mom how amazing she is. She really, really is.

Erin, I will pray for your patience with the "waiting game". It is only normal for you to be nervous and impatient. I hope your time in Disney will help to free your mind a little, you deserve it.

You had such a fun weekend! The Dollar Store is pretty cool, huh? You are soooooo lucky to be able to go to Disney World AND a Disney Cruise. You and Mickey are going to be best buddies. But, you are a pretty awesome little guy, so you can handle two vacations in two months. I love you, buddy.

I am believing that on the 18th, the doctors will be astounded that their is nothing in Ben's head but a healthy , 5-year-old brain. Miracles do happen, and I believe that Ben is a miracle. Every person that I know is believing the same thing, and praying for Ben every day. All things are possible!
Ben, glad to hear about all the fun you had over the weekend and that Grandma's arrived from Phoenix.
I know you're looking forward to a most exciting time at DisneyWorld and on the Disney cruise. They sure didn't have those wonderful things when I was young.

Glad that your grandma flew in from Phoenix. Did her arms get tired? (Ha ha - that's a joke in case you didn't know.)
When is your soccer practice starting? We remember watching your mom play soccer when she was a Lady Bug and then a Killer Bee. After she finished with those team names your Aunt Mego picked them up. In fact, your grandma was Mego's soccer coach when she was in kindergarten!!! Imagine that?!?! We've got some cute pictures of Mego but we don't know how to send them to you on this blog.
Will your Disney cruise have friendly pirates on it? Since you're going on a cruise, do you want to hear some jokes about sea creatures?

Please know you are in our prayers. We pray for Ben's recovery and for the strength you need to get through each day. Both Dave and I wear our beautiful green bracelets and when people ask about them you know more people are praying for all of you. Wow! DisneyWorld and a Disney Cruise!?! That's awesome! You should have your Grandma Judy take you shopping in gift shops at DisneyWorld and on the cruise. I bet they are possibly better than the Dollar Store. I wonder what kind of pirate stuff they have on the cruise ship? Pirate Mickey? I have a coworker who's grandson just went on a Disney Cruise and he said there are pirate workshops and you get to Disney's PRIVATE island!!! That's so cool! Have fun and say hi to your family.

Patrick had a great time at the slumber party Friday night. I was a little lonesome, but Mr. Mike rented me some movies to keep me busy. So I tried to be a big girl and not cry. Sleepovers are tough on moms. lol.

Going to Disney World and a Disney Cruise both, How cool tht is. You and Shaun will have a super time.You deserve to have fun after all that needle sticking. Hey big guy, I'm still waiting for that handsome picture of you in your suit you mentioned in your blog, of course you are still handsome without a suit. I heard grandma was taking you to the dollar store. That was Jamie's favorite place when she was litle. The dollar store was between her house and mine and we always had to stop on the way. You have been phenominal throughout this whole ordeal, the next month will not be any easier, butI know you have the strength and faith to continue on.
