Hey everyone just wanted to check in and let you know what I'm up to! Its only 6 days till I go to Disney and I am VERY EXCITED. My Grandma was here all weak so I didn't go to school everyday - but don't worry I still did my school work.
We went to the Vietnamese New Years Festival yesterday with my cousins the Boyd girls! It was really cool there were dragon dancers, and fireworks. Shaun didn't like it very much - he hates fireworks!
Shaun and I got haircuts on Saturday. The barber tried to even up my hairloss areas, so I kind of look like a Marine - My mom thinks I am very handsome! Shaun wouldn't sit still, big surprise - so his haircut is kind of crooked!
Gotta go eat dinner!
Love ya

Ahoy Ben - Six days and counting...how very exciting! Please ask your mom to take lots of pictures so we can see you having fun!!!
Speaking of fun, we got to watch the Super Bowl with your grandpa and grandma. They had lots of pictures of you and your family. Everyone enjoyed looking at them. But we didn't enjoy the final score. We were all really sad the Cardinals lost...except for Rudy who was a Steeler fan.
We've heard Marines are pretty cute and bet you look even more handsome with your new haircut. How about a military joke to end this?
Who are the youngest members of the army?
The infantry!
Adios amigos!
Dave and Ginger
P.s. Loved your bowling joke!
Hey, Ben,
I'd sure like to see those haircuts. Glad you enjoyed your week with Grandma and the Vietnamese New Years Festival with your cousins. I like fireworks, unlike Shaun. Tell him even our 6 lb.chihuahua Pip doesn't mind fireworks. I know you can hardly wait to go to Disney World. What a place! Have a super time. I know you will.
Here's ANOTHER birdie joke:
Why do seagulls live near the sea?
Because if they lived near the bay, they'd be called bagels!
Love, Megan's mom Peg
P.S. Has your mom remembered to bring you my present (my greatest treasure) that you deserve
so much? Remind her if she hasn't.
Hey Ben -
Can't wait to see your haircut when we get there in 2 weeks. Of course, you'll look very handsome for all the pictures you guys will take at Disney!! I know you'll have a great time and get to meet lots of friends and ride some really cool roller-coasters! Have fun with your mom and dad and Shaun!! See you soon! Love, Aunt Robyn
Good morning, Pirate Ben's Crew!!! What a great name, and what an AMAZING little man you've got!! I've only read a bit of your blog so far, but I am inspired and touched by your family and your journey.
I wanted to stop by and welcome you to Team Unite and thank you for joining. I know that you'll be a valued addition!!
I lost my daughter Jessica June 9, 2007 (3 days after her 17th birthday) after a year-long battle with brain cancer. She is, and always will be, my hero and my inspiration. These kids deserve more, and I know that with so many families joining the cause, we will be heard.
Your entire family will remain in my thoughts and prayers.

I just found about out Pirate Ben's blog via the Team Unite message board. I just wanted to stop by and let you know that I have added Ben to my prayers. My 8 year old son Matthew battled a DIPG for almost 18 months before being "Lifted Up" on St. Patricks Day of 2007. If I can help in any way please don't hesitate to ask.
I see Ben is getting ready to go to Disney, is that on his wish trip? Are you staying at Give Kids the World?
Please know my thoughts and prayers are with Pirate Ben and all of his family and friends.
Can't wait to hear all about your Disney trip.
God Bless.

Ahoy Pirate Ben -
I just found out that you're facing some stormy seas. I truly hope you have a safe voyage.
I was looking back thru your blog and was very happy to see that you were cheering on the Crimson Tide (we live in North Alabama). We have family down on the Gulf Coast - so have heard "Who Dat?" in our house as well.
We would be honored to add you to the Other Kids page of www.ICouldBeYourChild.org, if your parents have no objection. It's a website full of brave pirates like yourself and some beautiful princesses, too.
Peace be with you.
ARRRR!
