Our first day at clinic

Well today was our first "clinic" day. Everyone warned me it was bad, and they were right. I had to get my blood drawn and I had to sit in the waiting room for 3+ hours. But Doc says I'm doing great, and I get to reduce my steroids again on Friday! Because I was so good my mom said I could pick where we went for lunch and I picked Burger King. It was soooo good.

Love lil' Ben

Shaun wants to say ---Go Alabama! and Phineas and Pherb is his favorite show.

We are looking forward to a great Thanksgiving, and wish you all a great Turkey Day!

Ben & Erin

Hi Ben
It's Mrs Tammy. I don't like having my blood taken either but once it's over you feel better. I am glad you are doing so good. Dont eat too much turkey or you'll start gobbling.
Brandi says hello and keep up the good work.
Oh Brandi has a joke for you:
What time is it when an elephant sits on your fence?
Time to get a new fence.
Have a great night.

Hey Ben,

Sitting in that waiting room must have been boring. At least after all of that waiting you got to pick where you went for lunch. Have a Happy Thanksgiving, Ben! Gobble, Gobble, Gobble.

Hey Shaun,
I am so sorry that I have not said Hi to you yet. I think that you meant to say, "Go Tigers!" but that's okay. Phineas and Pherb is a cool show; I like it too. Happy Thanksgiving Shaun!

Hiya, Ben,

What a day, but what a brave pirate. I like Burger King too, the Whopper (I almost wrote Whooper--wonder why), Jr. (Better not call it the Whooper Jr. even as a joke or Megan will have a fit.) When Megan was little, I got her used to needles by playing Patti Cake with her, and when we got to the part about "Pick it with a pin..." I'd stick my fingernail in her finger really hard, so she was used to it! Thank goodness I did because she had to have allergy shots for year and was very good, just like you are.

Glad to hear you can reduce your steroids again!

Here's a knock-knock joke I've always liked just for you: Knock, knock. Who's there? Olive. Olive who? Olive you (get it? "I love you.")

Well, Ben 3 hours in a waiting room is way toooo long! I'm so proud of you. Love the good news about the steroids. Good choice for lunch. Now you are the "king" of the pirates. I don't know about that. Can pirates become kings? ha ha ha Somebody's going to be 5 real soon!!! Could his name be Ben?
Good night "King Pirate" God loves you and so do I.

Hi, Ben:

It is Amanda and Joe's friend, Shannon,(aka Cassidy's mom.) Sorry I have not said hello in a few days. Miss Cassidy has kept me very busy plus I am getting my house ready for the "Thanksgiving rush"

Anyway, I am glad to hear you are doing well. I hate having my blood drawn too. It is yucky! Of course, a brave pirate like you did a fantastic job. We are thinking about you and praying for you. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Eat lots of turkey!

Take Care

Shannon :)

OK, Ben--after I read Mrs. Rita's note I thought I'd better write and tell you there's a very old and very famous song, from THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE, a funny singing play, that is called "I Am the Pirate King," which I will sing to you when we get there, which is only a week from today!!! Even though Megan always says, "Please, don't sing, Mom!" She gave me a Flair button that talks about how I like to break into song, though, which was pretty nice.

Hi Ben!
Sounds like you've been doing really well this week. Sorry about yesterday at the clinic though. I next time goes better.
Thanksgiving is tomorrow! I am sure you'll get to see lots of your family and play with cousins. Here are some Thanksgiving jokes you can share with everyone: (oh, by the way, you're jokes were super funny. Send more when you can).

q: Why did they let the turkey join the band?
a: Because he had the drumsticks

q: Why can't you take a turkey to church?
a: Because they use such FOWL language

q: What did the mama turkey say to her naughty son?
a:If your papa could see you now, he'd turn over in his grav-y!

ha! ha! I am ALMOST as funny as you.

Have a great holiday, bud. I'll be playing with Aunt Mego and Uncle Mikey.

Love, Shannon

Hiya, Ben,

Wanted to say we're thinking of you today. We'll soon be in the car with our Chihuahua Pip on the way to Minneapolis (it only takes an hour and a half) to visit Megan's brother Chad, his wife Juliana, and their baby Anja for the day. Hope we don't hit any turkeys crossing the road, because there are large flocks of them all over Wisconsin since the DNR brought them back over the years. We had 16 turkeys parading down our condo driveway one time and another time there was a mother and six babies up on the roof of the condo across from us jumping off the roof onto the lawn, one a time. What a sight!!!!

Poor Megan, Mike, Kyle and Lauren got hung up in a traffic jam on the Interstate by Baton Rouge yesterday afternoon for TWO hours on their way to Houston, a five hour trip usually!!! Thank goodness Sara is taking care of the dogs and birds so they didn't have to take them with them. It's awfully nice of her.
