Hi, Ben,

Your brother certainly wrote an interesting letter. Does everyone want to pinch your chipmunk cheeks?
Do you know (and like) Alvin and the Chipmunks? Their Christmas carols are a riot. But I like the Witch Doctor Song they sing: Oo ee, oo ah ah, ting, tang, walla walla ding dang. Oo, ee oo ah ah ting tang walla walla ding dang. Or something like that.
We decided to start out for New Orleans today (we couldn't wait) and go just a little way (to Madison) starting at noon. There was snow all over everything except the roads, thank goodness but ice in the parking lots! Ugh, winter.

I'm going to have to tell Ms. Cora to make twelve extra corn dogs just for you! Did you pick out what movie you will watch yet? Guess what? Only three more days until your birthday!!! Yeah!!!

Shaunie,

I love that message. I was thinking the exact same thing. Love you buddy!

Hey Ben!!!

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. We just got back from Texas last night. What a long drive, especially with a cat in the car. Her fur is ALL OVER my mom's car. YUCK!! PTOOEY!!!

My mom is glad that your ulcers are clearing up. She gets those things all the time, in fact I think she has two now. She says they are a pain.

Can't wait to see you tomorrow!!!!

Love,
Patrick

Ahoy Matey,

Those cheecks are way too cute! We're sort of impartial to cheecks like that because our son Jeff had them until he in 7th grade.

We're running low on pirate jokes, but since you're having corn dogs tomorrow, how about some dog/hot dog jokes?

What kind of dog floats in the air?
An Airedale.

What do you get if an Airedale floats too close to the sun?
A HOT DOG.

Hope you have a great adventure tomorrow!

Ahoy Pirate Ben,

I am sure you stuffed your belly Thanksgiving Day with all kinds of delicious food. Everyone in the picture looked thoroughly well fed. Speaking of food, I see you recently enjoyed an enormous gigantic stupendous pizza! Wow! Looking at that big pie makes me hungry all over again. Guess what we had for dinner last night? P-I-ZZA! Tis the season for delicious pizza, so eat up matey!

Hope to see you soon.

Love,

Hiya, Ben,

Did you have a big day at school today? I would imagine you did. Are you too pooped to pop? I would be. We're kind of pooped ourselves from driving through more and more snow, some with ice still on the roads half way down Illinois. The road signs were totally covered with snow! Dangerous! But we're getting closer. Tomorrow night we'll be near Jackson, MS.

Pip, our chihuahua, hated "going" in the snow. Her feet are so small no little dog boots will stay on them. See you soon, Brave Pirate Ben.

Yo Ben!
It is super cold today where I live and I only wish I had a pirate hat as cool as yours to wear! You must be so excited for your Aunt MegO and Uncle Mikey to come and play with you on your big day. I can't believe you're almost 5! Give your Aunt MegO a big hug and Uncle Mikey a weggy (though don't tell him it's from me)!

Joke of the day

Q: What do you give a 500-pound pirate for his birthday?
A: I don't know, but you better hope he like it!

Love, Jill

Ahoy Ben, That is a cool pirate hat with pirate pictures on it, but it's also in camo colors, so you could wear it in the jungle hunting for treasure. Hope you had a fun at the corn dog day. Sandee in AZ

Hi Ben, This is the SSC MONKEY. I am so glad to hear that you had an AWESOME birthday. I wanted to share a story with you it goes like this, today I was sitting on the roof eating a banana above your mom's office(I do this alot because sometimes I get tired of swinging thru the trees)anyway this weird little man walked by then stopped, looked up and said hey SSC MONKEY what kind of key doesnt open any doors? A MONKEY, I said. Then he said what did the banana say to the monkey? Bananas can't talk you weird little man ,I said. Then I asked him to please leave me alone so I could finish eating my banana but he still wanted to ask me one more thing. He said he was going to be visiting the jungle and wanted to know what to call a 2000 pound gorilla that wants to charge him money for visiting the jungle.I told him to call him SIR and don't forget to PAY HIM !!! Then I threw some poo on him and jumped back into the trees!Talk to you later Ben, from your buddy in the trees the SSC MONKEY
